People do not come into therapy to change their past but their future.

My Therapy & Approach
How therapy can help
We and the world around us are in the constant process of change and most people will at some point go through difficulties in their lives. Sometimes it is easier to go through them, sometimes it is more challenging and sometimes we get stuck and feel like we can’t move on. Emotional suffering can be just as painful, unbearable and immobilising as physical suffering, but it doesn’t mean the difficulty has to stay with you forever. What matters is how you approach it and work with it.
Whatever the cause, contacting a therapist can be a helpful step forward.
Therapy is the time for you, to reflect on your current situation, your problems and struggles in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. Sharing your thoughts and feelings can already feel as a relief and it can help you feel less overwhelmed and alone.
I offer my unconditional acceptance, understanding and full dedication to your individual case and will help you in finding your own way to eliciting the changes you’d like to see in your life, in order to create the future you desire.
In my practice together with the client we look at the whole spectrum of the issue(s) and accompanying symptoms and choose the best solution(s) and strategies that will work with client’s lifestyle.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is an area you would like to discuss which is not listed here.

Holistic approach
My approach is holistic, which means it perceives a person as an integral entity: a collection of various components of the functioning of the individual, related both to the psyche and the body. In this sense, by considering and analysing factors that influence person’s life, more substantive and appropriate interventions can be selected, which ultimately lead to long-term changes.
FAQ
Where do we start from?
Recognising the symptoms and the causes: in my practice I focus on helping clients to look closer at their current symptoms, which often, but not always, are caused by deep-seated emotions and feelings that the client might be unaware of. Those emotions and feelings, patterns of acting and reacting to particular situations, triggers and behavioural or thinking habits are often rooted in the past experiences.
How does unconscious mind work?
Unconscious mind is like a computer software, which always operates in the same way: every time you press certain command/button it elicits certain reaction – those are your triggers. It is great if in the past you’ve created the habit of brushing your teeth every morning and every evening. You now do it almost automatically and it is beneficial for you. However, it probably isn’t so desirable if you react harshly to any sign of criticism or if you feel paralysed and deeply hurt by any sign or perception of rejection. Perhaps this is a part of the ‘programming’ you’ve unconsciously acquired when you were growing up and now it is a matter of certain ‘button’ to be pressed to have the whole chain reaction activated.
Hypnotic trance is one of the tools that can help you to become aware of those unconscious patterns, gain understanding of where they might be originating from and what triggers are causing certain emotional or/and behavioural reactions.
We can then together look for the best way for you to work with those discoveries in order to elicit the change you desire in your everyday life.
Is it necessary to go into hypnotic trance on every session?
No, it is not. Hypnotic trance and hypnotherapy are only some of the tools that can be used in the overall therapeutic process. Some clients will benefit more from simply talking about their issues and as a result of it – coming to their own conclusions. Other clients might feel stuck and ‘not understanding’ why they feel the way they do, in which case, hypnotherapeutic technique might be more beneficial for them.
Together with each client we discuss thoroughly all the available options of going forward and choose the one that feels most appropriate and the client feels comfortable with.
